Jamaica 2018
One of the most humbling yet rewarding experiences about this trip is definitely riding through the villages and land on the ATV and seeing how the black people live in #Jamaica i met these amazing kids they had on no shoes and the boy in a ripped up shirt and they were walking the dirt roads and woods. They were so excited to see me and my friends and their spirit and energy was so vibrant. You would never think that they live in poverty in a place with no electricity and limited clothes and shoes. All of the kids asked for money and I gave them all the money i had but to me it still wasn’t enough. I left very emotional and my heart ❤️ though filled with joy it was also very heavy. I want better for the kids and all of our people in general. I look at how they live and think about my own life and the people around me and i think to myself our problems are nowhere as big compared to the people of Jamaica... Parents we really have to do better raising our privileged yet ungrateful at times children. We have to make sure that they have a great perspective and outlook on life as well as morals, values, integrity, substance, and APPRECIATION for not only you as a hard working parent but also for the education that they receive and the roof over their head. Material things come and go but substance knowledge and humility last forever. There’s a light that shines so bright on all of the kids that i met and I pray God opens up a future of endless blessings for them.
